Size Guide

The latest version of the award winning Knox Handroid long cuff glove, is the Mk4. Due to its design these are the most striking motorcycle gloves ever made. The design includes features such as the scaphoid protection system as well as the eye catching exo skeleton finger spines which cover the tops of the fingers for impact protection as well as a unique closing system which always ensures a perfect fit.

Now the latest Handroid takes all of these features and refines them. The finger spines are now softer and of a lower, more aerodynamic profile, yet no less effective when it comes to protection. The body of the glove is made from drum dyed Korean leather. This has been chosen for its feel, light weight and strength. Complementing this is 0.8mm kangaroo hide which is used on the palm. While the strength and feel offered by this hide is exceptional it’s still responsibly and ethically sourced.

A new SPS impact system is the most recent development of the Knox patented Scaphoid protection system. This now has Micro-Lock armour incorporated into the design of each slider. Because the BOA® Fit System is so effective the Handroid now no longer needs a second Velcro strap on the wrist. Box construction of the fingers makes for an even more comfortable glove that fits even better than previous models.

The CE testing for the Handroid covers 15 different tests. As a result independent testers have given the gloves a CE EN 13594- 2015 rating. This covers so much including the materials used, the fit, the cut of the glove, its abrasion resistance, the all-important seam and tear strength as well as impact absorption.

Separate tests were conducted for design and construction as well as tests on the materials used. This included checking features as detailed as the pH value of the leather as well as its chromium V1 content. In addition to the sizing dexterity the cadmium content and even the water vapour transmission were also measured. Strength tests included the Handroids’ restraint tear strength, the seam strength, cut resistance, abrasion resistance and, of course the impact resistance and the size of the protective area. The Handroid passes all with flying colours.

The Handroid is available in two sub models, the ‘Long Cuff’ and the short cuff ‘Pod’. The Long cuff is available in four different colours; black, black with white, red or blue. The Pod is available in 2 colours Black and Black/Sand The range of sizes runs from XS all the way to 3XL. The Boa fit system now comes with a lifetime guarantee and the whole glove is CE certified to EN 13594.

These gloves are incredibly comfortable and fit like a…well, like a glove! The Boa fastening makes it really easy to get the gloves on and off and the retractable armour and SPS are an excellent addition. These are the best and safest gloves I have owned in nearly 30 years of riding bikes. They are warm and good for most weather conditions. They take a little while to break in but it’s worth the wait. I found that the size guide was slightly off for my hands – it implied I needed a large, but I bought a medium as all my other gloves have been medium, and they fit perfectly.

  7. Mark P.

Rapid shipping, excellent gloves – the best I’ve ever had! Highly recommend.

  8. Mark H.

My second pair of Handroids and still my favourite glove! Size fits a bit small- I didn’t think my hands were XXL but that’s the Knox size that fits me best.

My 1st pair of handroid gloves my made more than 6 years. These are for me the best gloves on the market. Congratulations to you Knox!

  11. Lori Y.

I haven’t worn my gloves yet but I’m thrilled with the fit and the sturdiness of them. My husband has them and has “tested” them several times. I bought my gloves after seeing how well his held up in a palms down slide.

  12. Martin K.

I ordered handroid medium size gloves. Despite what I read, they were not too tight, even though I usually use medium size with other brands.

  13. Lisa F.

The gloves are wonderful and will give my rider the best possible protection whilst racing. Excellent service and fast delivery.

  14. Daniil I.

    Very good gloves

  15. Mehdi A.

As someone who needs his hand to work I had to invest in good gloves, after a lot of research and review reading I found that the handroid MK III are the best gloves all around.

The most important part for me is the scaphoid protection (I broke my scaphoid before and it sucks), apart from that the kangaroo leather is top notch for abrasion resistance and the exoskeleton is revolutionary protection system.

Let’s not forget the BOA system for tightening the gloves that is more convenient to use that the traditional Velcro.

All in all those gloves are the best investment for hand protection!

  16. Daniele B.

    High quality and fast delivery

Very well made gloves – incredibles fingers protections – Hope the certification (eu) will become live pretty soon for the zero mk3 and top notch customers services

  21. Stuart C.

Ordered a pair of Handroid Gloves and followed their fitment guide. Great fit, fantastic gloves and come in a nice knox branded draw-string bag.

Fast delivery, will be ordering more from Knox!

Looking forward to breaking the gloves in this season and picking up more Knox goodies.

  22. Jason C.

Always top notch quality and service from Knox! Racing on the local circuit, it’s important to have a glove that makes you feel safe, without taking away from the tactile sensation of the controls. The handroid delivers in all departments. Great fit, second to none crash protection (which I’ve put to the test a few times) and the light and communicative feel that I absolutely must have. Go Knox!!

  23. Charles F.

    Excellent quality and very comfortable.

  24. Jonathan F.

Super fast delivery from the online shop and top quality kit as ever

  25. Grant M.

At the time of review, I have only had the gloves for a day, and have not ridden – or fallen – with them yet. Hopefully the latter never happens, but if it does, I’ve got the best to protect me.
The built quality and fit are excellent, and the stitching is perfect.
The Boa system works very well and easy to get used to.
Hand mobility is easier than expected, given the hand support on the back of the gloves.
I expect that the gloves will stretch over time as they get worn, and I may be able to fit the Cold Killers (M size) inners for winter.
My hand measured 230cm, so I bought the large (245cm), and the glove fits snuggly, so buying the bigger size – as recommended by Knox – must be heeded.
I look forward to my first ride to get a complete picture of their performance and comfort on the bike.

  26. Ian B.

Very impressed with the speed of delivery and the hight craftsmanship of the gloves. Lots of well thought out protective features and they are very comfortable straight from the pack.

  27. Koldobika G.

The gloves are awesome, even more impressive in person, the only problem i have is that the left gloves makes ma pain in one finger, maybe because they are new

I expect this pain to dissapear with more use because i like them too much…

  28. Samy Q.

This gloves are just awesome, I tried them and I just fall inlove !! I just took the wrong size so I’m waiting for the return, but they are definitely the best gloves !! (sorry for my bad English, I’m French)

  29. Kenneth R.

I have not crashed tested these gloves, thankfully, but from a comfort and piece of mind point of view, I am so glad a bought my Mk IVs. Exo-skeleton is fluid and doesn’t interfere whatsoever, BOA closure is surprisingly convenient and secure. I would gladly have it in any of my gloves.
Sizing runs a little small. I wear an XL in Joe Rocket and Scorpion and picked up a 2XL and my hand fits snug. Just realize you need to have decently long fingers to fill out that size glove. Nothing needs to be said about how awesome they look…All around fantastic gloves! An investment no doubt, but fingers and wrists are worth keeping intact.

These gloves literally saved my hands! I had a low speed accident (10-20mph) and went over the bars of my motorcycle. The Handroid Gloves saved my hands from being broken. The worst that happened was a minor sprained finger. My gloves are a little tore up, but still function and could survive another accident if not more. I highly recommend these gloves to anyone who rides a sport bike for two reasons, they are way more protection for the money and they look awesome! I am so glad and thankful that I chose Knox gloves over all the others. I can not thank you enough for the quality of product you provide, keep up the great work Planet Knox!

It’s everything I would expect in a handroid glove. Amazing comfort and amazing fit. This is my second pair, I also have the MK 3. The new improved closure system took me a couple times on and off to get used to, but I have it down to a science
Overall I have no actual complaints.
    Giving this glove 5 stars!!
    Love them!!

This is an initial review, based on customer service and ordering. Excellent customer service is almost an understatement! 1) When I first came to the website, there was an offer to sign up for the Knox community/newsletter, with a 10% discount offer. I was only comparison shopping against the Icon TiMax, not thinking of buying, so I clicked past it. When I decided to buy the Handroid, I couldn’t get the offer to come back. Live chat to the rescue! I didn’t get the rep’s name, but he got me the discount code, and I got the gloves. 2) I ordered on Tuesday, and the gloves arrived Thursday! Even without all the CoVid weirdness, this would have been an impressive intercontinental/transnational shipping achievement. 3) There’s good advice on the sizing chart, pay attention to it! I normally take a medium, but after looking at the chart, I decided to actually measure my hands. The left is about 238mm, the right about 235mm, and my pair of Sidi shorties are extremely snug across the palm/back of my hands, so I followed Knox’ suggestion, and ordered size large. I was worried the fingers would be too long and that they’d slip and slide across my hand, but no! Perfectly snug, perfect length!

I’ll update after I have a chance to get out and circumnavigate Mt. Rainier for 5 hours, or do the North Cascade Loop/Wenatchee/Leavenworth/Seattle route for 9 hours

TL/DR: great service, follow their size advice!

Already very comfortable to wear and to use but is awkward to take off. I look forward to using them more often.

Excellent product, needed a few rides To mould to my hands

  38. Eenybear

Amazing. Use the hand size chart. Inspires confidence. Bulletproof construction!

  39. Laramoto

Aside from looking really cool, the splinted articulation protects each finger. After a couple of uses, the Kangaroo leather feels natural around your fingers. I find the fit very comfortable even with girl hands!

The Boa tightening wheel around my wrist provides a secure feeling too, helping me dial in before going out on the road or preparing for a race. I’ve crash tested these gloves a few times, the scaphoid protection works extremely well. Buy these gloves if you value quality and safety in your motorcycle wear.

    Dear knox team,
I ordered the gloves according to the size table on the Internet. My size is between L and XL. Since leather normally stretches a bit, I ordered L.
The part with the palm is still a bit tight at the moment. But the tunnel on the wrist is almost impassable because it is cut too tight. I hope the glove will widen here too. Otherwise it’s a great piece and it would be a shame if I couldn’t wear it. In size XL, the fingers are too long, which affects the operation of the controls.

So I’ve had the Knox Handroid for about a decade now. I’ve recently bought the latest version and they’re just as amazing if not more so. I literally can’t imagine riding without them! They’ve been my go-to for track riding for a long time now, and I never see that changing!!
