Hi mamas. Throwing this out there to see if anyone’s had a similar experience.
I’ve had some nausea for about 5 days. Like nothing earth shattering, just always in the background (I can eat fine, etc). Of course it’s milder but similar to when I was pregnant with my first (it started to hit around week 6). Also, my period is now 5 days late.
I’ve taken 3 pregnant tests (at different points in the day on separate days) and they’re all negative. Like not even a “is there a line?” Clearly negative.
I keep track of my cycle with an app and the only way I could have gotten pregnant (if that’s the case) is if I ovulated like 2 days after my cycle ended (which I don’t think has ever happened) which is the last time we had unprotected sex, or we had a leaky condom (which I think we would have noticed?)
If I’m not pregnant… why is my period late and why am I having this nausea? Is it a chemical pregnancy or an ectopic? Am I just being paranoid??
If I am pregnant - I’ve read that high HCG can actually cause a false negative (like with multiples)
In the meantime I’ll keep taking tests. Just curious what others have experienced.
Thanks!

Even with a chemical and an ectopic, you would have a positive pregnancy test. However You could be too early for the test to register. I would wait a week and test again. The only way you would have high enough HCG that it had that effect on a test would put you a few months along. I don't know anyone who had twins and never got a positive test or had extreme high hcg to give false negative.. with that being said not every woman's body's are similar as every oregancy is different. there are many things that can make a woman's cycle late from hormone concerns to stress ( you may not even know your stressed your body can be without your mind knowing jt) environment chnages .. etc. for now I'd wait and keep testing then go get a blood test cuz thay will be more definite. good luck

A chemical or ectopic would still show up as positive. Sounds like maybe you've caught a virus (the nausea) which can delay your period.
